Our roots

Always the adventurous spirit, our founder Peter Norton traveled from Melbourne to Minnesota as a one-man-band with a Sony Beta-cam and founded RumJungle Media in 1992.

In the three decades since, RumJungle has garnered 2 Edward R. Murrow Awards, a Telly Award, 5 National Emmy Awards and more. Peter's passion for the industry has led RumJungle to where it is today.

Production Team

Kyle Gallagher

Kyle has been with RumJungle since 2005, starting his career as an audio technician and quickly becoming a Director of Photography. He has been at the forefront of the ever-evolving industry and with thousands of successful shoots and countless satisfied clients, Kyle has proven to be a go-to guru for answers and advice across a broad spectrum of topics and roles. From new technologies, to age-old fundamentals, he's the guy to ask.

Kyle always has two things within reach: his phone and a Diet Mountain Dew.

Co-Owner

Jack Norton

Jack grew up in the company and has developed a versatile set of skills in the industry. He is a drone pilot, camera/audio Technician as well as an editor. He's got social media expertise having generated millions of organic likes on social media, amassing around 100,000 followers across platforms.

Outside of work he's an adrenaline junkie who loves to travel. A few of his hobbies include bodybuilding, freestyle skiing and guitar.

Office Manager

Zak Hanson

Zak has over a decade of experience in television and commercial production. Having worked as a producer, field producer, coordinator, and editor, Zak has mastered the art of blending creativity with logistics. His ability to stay calm under pressure and his attention to detail keep every shoot running smoothly, from planning and execution to final delivery.

Outside of work, Zak is a proud father, lifelong film enthusiast, and loyal Minnesota Vikings fan (for better or worse). He’s fueled by 90's rock and too much caffeine.

Jay Enyart

Jay hails from Bismarck, ND and has been living in Minneapolis since 1998. He started with RumJungle in 2006 and has been an indestructible member ever since. He has always been experimenting with media and music since he was able to operate a dual tape deck boom box.”Dubbing and mixing tapes is a gateway drug that leads to all sorts of wild musical and sound annoyance behavior, down a lonely road to public access television,” exclaims Jay.

Jay has proved he can think. He has a degree (not pedigree) in Speech Communications from U of M Moorhead.

Trevor Tesch

Trevor graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television Production. Since graduating, he's held many titles in the industry including Camera/Audio Technician, Technical Director, Satellite Uplink Engineer & LED Technician.

In his spare time Trevor enjoys hunting, fishing and just being outdoors! Furthermore, he enjoy watching his local sports teams play, especially the Timberwolves!

Founder

Peter Norton

In the 35+ years since moving here from Australia, Peter has built RumJungle into the company it is today. He is known for doing whatever it takes to get the best shot, whether it's hanging out of a Blackhawk Helicopter or being the first person to an event to secure the best camera position.

Pete loves to travel the world taking photos and videos along the way. No matter the season you can find him on a boat , Ice sailing in the winter and sleeping on a house boat in the summer.

Ajay Kirmeier

Ajay is a Camera Operator, Editor, and Graphic Designer at RumJungle Media. Alongside his work in marketing and social media, he’s currently a college student pursuing his passion for visual storytelling. Ajay loves the creativity that comes with piecing together a vision and turning it into a reality, helping clients communicate their message through engaging content and design.

Outside of work, Ajay is a sociable guy who grew up around Lake Minnetonka in Mound. He enjoys lake life, making music, and volunteering in police reserve work, always finding new ways to stay active, creative, and connected to his community.
