Common questions
Do I need special permits for drone filming at my location?
Contact us and we can check for you! If your shoot takes place in controlled airspace, near airports, or in restricted areas, we will need to secure the necessary airspace authorization. Our Pilots can obtain clearance from the FAA in most scenarios to do this. For certain locations, like national parks or private property, you may need additional permits, which we can help facilitate. Rest assured, we handle all the legalities and paperwork to ensure a smooth and compliant operation.
What weather conditions are required to Fly?
For optimal drone filming, we prefer clear skies with light winds and no precipitation. Strong winds, heavy rain, snow, or fog can impact the stability of the drone and the quality of the footage. We also avoid flying in conditions with low visibility or poor light, which can make it difficult for our operators to safely control the drone. While we can fly in various weather conditions depending on the project, safety is always our top priority. Before each shoot, we conduct a thorough weather assessment and will discuss any concerns with you to ensure we can achieve the best results while maintaining safe flying conditions.
